Tamika Galvin - Principal

Ms. Tamika Galvin advocates that all children can learn. Her life exemplifies just that. Ms. Galvin experienced homelessness along with struggles to graduate high school. Because of her steadfastness, she became the victor of her life. As she developed her teaching and leadership skills, her educational philosophy endorses students receiving a holistic education so that all students will know and believe in themselves and in the progression of their academic growth. She believes all educators should be purposeful with identified intentions in the lives of our students.

Educational leadership comes naturally to Ms. Galvin. Her educational journey began at St. Louis Community College and progressed to the University of St. Louis, Missouri where she obtained her Bachelor of Liberal Studies Degree. Moving forward, Ms. Galvin received her Master of Science in Education Degree with a concentration in portrait Tamika GavinCurriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University. As she continued to elevate her career, she decided to pursue and receive her Educational Leadership Principal (Ed.S.). degree. She is certified to teach all core subject areas including a certification in English as a Second Language (Pre-K – 12th grade). She also had a rewarding experience serving students and educators in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). She is currently completing her dissertation for her Doctor of Education with an emphasis in Social Justice at the University of St. Louis, Missouri. Moreover, Ms. Galvin is a proud alumna of Teach for America (TFA) and continues to support its vision while she provides service to others as an AmeriCorps member.

Ms. Galvin leads by example with the highest level of integrity. She is a collaborative, visionary, and supportive leader who strongly desires every child excels in an equitable, rigorous, and supportive learning environment. She makes it a priority to ensure student success and to have a great rapport with all students, families, faculty, staff, the community, and all other stakeholders. Ms. Galvin believes that together we can do all things, faith is always over fear, and, lastly, a challenge is just another opportunity to create greatness!
